~Avery turns 9!~

Another birthday is being celebrated in the Hendry household. Our Avery turns 9 years old today. Once again, I marvel at the time and wonder where it has gone. Avery helps to make our lives so bright with her infectious smile and sweet disposition.

~Madison turns 12!~

Wow! Where does the time go? At 8:22pm this evening Madison officially turned 12 years old. So many memories and so many more to come. I absolutely love every moment we have together.

Happy Birthday my beautiful girl! I love you so very much!

~Caleb's 1st 'official' day of school~

He was so excited this morning to finally be going off to the same school as 'his girls' (that's what he calls Madison & Avery, either 'my girls' or 'the sisters' - he is too funny!).
He looks like such a little man in these pics. He picked that outfit out himself at the store. You can't really tell in the pic but the shirt is checkered purple. His fave colour!
My baby is growing up much too fast! *sniff, sniff*

~First Day of School 2009~

So it is that time of year again. Back to school. Time to get back to some sort of routine and hopefully not be too rushed.
This year Avery is entering Grade 4 French Immersion. I am excited and nervous for her at the same time. But I am confident that she will do well. And so is she.
Madison is entering Grade 7 French Immersion. WoW! Where does the time go? Just seems like yesterday she was going into JK.
& speaking of JK, Caleb will officially start in 2 weeks. Today we have to go to his classroom for a JK orientation and then one more day this and next week he will go one day each and then start on Sept 21st. They call this a staggered start, to help the transition to JK go more smoothly. He is so looking forward to it.
Lots of preparation went in to today. First Madi wanted me to straigthen her hair, which turned out nicely. Then lots of hemming and hawing over what to wear and last of all this is the first time ever the girls have taken the bus to school.

So there you have it, I am a Mom to 3 school age children. Someone please pass the tissues...

~A care package for my girls~

Sent this package off today to the girls in SSM. Just to let them know that I miss them and I am thinking of them.

~A small update~

The summer seems to be going way too fast :-(
I just took the girls this weekend to spend some time with Gramma and Grampa in Sault Ste. Marie. They will be there for 3 weeks. I miss them so much already. But know that they will have fun up there and come back with lots of stories.
So that just leaves Caleb to hang out with Mommy and Daddy. He just went back to daycare today after being away for 6 weeks. He had a good day but let's see how tomorrow goes.
And now what would a post be without some more birthday wishes...
Happy 2nd Birthday to our nephew Jack!! His birthday was on August 7th. I missed the party but Colin and Caleb attended and I heard it was a blast! Had a cowboy theme and all! I can't wait to see pics.

~Caleb turns 4 years old!~

Our Big boy turned 4 years old yesterday!

I can't believe that this time has gone by so quickly. Just seems like yesterday he was born.

But getting bigger means he is moving on to bigger and better adventures!

In September, he will start JK and is so excited about it. He can't wait!

We Love You So Much!

~Vacation Time~

I am off this week with the children. And I am loving it! I am also loving that my sister arrived on Sunday from Austraila and is spending the week with us.

Lots of catching up to do! We are going to do a few day trips and just hang out and relax.

And I don't care what a lot of people are saying about the weather. I am loving this weather!

It is not too hot and if it is a bit chilly all you need is a light sweater. I could deal with this for the rest of the summer, just keep the rain away!

~Bad Storm~

Yesterday evening we had a crazy hail storm. Shortly after it was finished, Madison and I were sitting in the living room and we started to hear a very loud cracking noise. We got to the window in time to see one of the trees in our backyard, split down the middle and fall.

Luckily, no one was hurt and really there was no damage. It just sucks that it has to be cleaned up now!
